Mike and I were not close friends at Midwood, we kind of knew who the other was.  However, when I moved to Shaker Heights in 1982 we were introduced by a mutual friend and the Brooklyn connections quickly created a strong bond.  Mike had found his niche when he became a lawyer.  He loved to argue and provoke conversations by taking the opposite point of view, even if he din't really believe it.  He was a great father and raised three wonderful girls with his wife Susan.  He met Susan when he was a student at Buffalo.  They were a warm family and we became friendly as families clebrating holidays together and vacationing together.  Mike was a terriffic golfer and I lost my best golf buddy when he died an untimely and sudden death due to an embolism.
