Hotels and B&Bs in Manhattan and Brooklyn

If you’d like to come to reunion, but are concerned about the cost of housing in New York, here is some help.  Everyone knows about the fancy, well known, and expensive hotels of New York.  Other options exist that some of us have used, a few are around $150/night.

B&B

There are a group of lovely houses in the Ditmas Park area of Brooklyn that are near the subway and about 1 ½ miles from Midwood.  They can be around $150/night.

Another web page for short term rentals of apartments that I have not used but has been recommended is airbnb.com  It only started in 2009 and has been described in the New York Times and can be around $150/night.
